Campus Compact
Campus Compact is a national organization working at the college level to promote learning through civic engagement, and particularly service learning. Although this lends itself to environmental and nature study, it encompasses all disciplines.

CEE Online is a resource for teachers and educators, complete with a Curriculum Library, useful links, and several features on current environmental topics relevant to environmental learning inside the classroom and out.
The Center for Place-Based Education at Antioch New England Institute

Foxfire
Developed in rural Appalachia, the Foxfire Approach to Teaching and Learning was a precursor of Place-Based Education. It stresses student involvement and action, thoughtful reflection, imagination and problem solving, and applications beyond the classroom for what is learned through meaningful connections to the community. In these classrooms, students build the ability to work collaboratively and assume responsibility for their own learning processes.

Green Teacher is a magazine that helps youth educators enhance environmental and global education inside and outside of schools. They also publish books and have materials available online.
North American Association for Environmental Education
NAAEE is the professional association for environmental education. Its members promote professional excellence in nonformal organizations, K-12 classrooms, universities (both instructors and students), government agencies, and corporate settings throughout North America and in over 55 other countries. Since 1971, the Association has created opportunities for its members to improve their skills in creating and delivering programs and services that teach people how to think, not what to think.
