 Connecting Children with Nature

The Nature Literacy Series
It is one of The Orion Society's founding principles that direct engagement with nature is vitally important for children as well as for adults. Orion is a leader in educational efforts to foster this engagement, collectively known as place-based education. The Orion Society has published the pioneering Nature Literacy Series, compiled many useful resources, and printed many important articles in Orion magazine on place-based education. This site gathers these resources together and will grow to become a centerpoint for shared resources among educators and parents.
